Disclaimer: HCG is a drug which has not been approved by the food and drug administration as safe and effective in the treatment of obesity or weight control. There is no substantial evidence that HCG increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or "normal" distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restrictive diets.

Common uses of HCG: HCG is presently relied upon as a medication for fertility and it is also used to safely promote the production of testosterone in males. It is not approved by the FDA for weight loss.

HCG Side effects: HCG side effectsr include headaches, irritability, restlessness, slight water retention, tenderness of breast tissue, There are some rare, severe side effects as well which include the development of ovarian hyperstimulation in females.  If a user of HCG products notes any side effects it is recommended that he or she cease using the products immediately and that he or she seek out the assistance of a physician.

*As with any weight loss program, there are no guarantees for individual weight loss. Information provided herein is based on historical research, studies, and results from the many thousands of former HCG (human chorionic gonaditropin) weight loss clients. Individual success is dependent upon a variety of factors.

Amino acids and their significance in fat burning

Amino Acids are the chemical units or “building blocks” of the body that make up proteins. Protein substances make up the muscles, tendons, organs, glands, nails, and hair. Growth, repair and maintenance of all cells are dependent upon them. Next to water, protein makes up the greatest portion of our body weight. Amino Acids that must be obtained from the diet are called “Essential Amino Acids” (E) other Amino Acids that the body can manufacture from other sources are called “Non Essential Amino Acids.”(NE)

Amino acids, vitamins, minerals and trace elements play a significant role in weight loss.

Amino acids  support fat burning by HCG and stimulate your  body to produce more natural  fat-burning hormones including natural human growth hormone and carnatine.  The synthesis of the growth hormone requires vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and zinc.

The essential amino acids, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine, are not produced by the body and need to be obtained through protein-rich foods such as meat, poultry, eggs, dairy products, and some plants, Since the HCG diet restricts some of these the addition of amino acids in the HCG preparation supports weight loss.

Here is How Amino Acids Can Help Weight Loss:

Carnitine is a biocarrier (transport substance), which is synthesized in the liver from the two essential amino acids lysine and methionine acting together with vitamin  12, niacin and folic acid.  A deficiency in any of these substances may limit carnitine production. Carnitine acts  as a carrier molecule that transports fatty acids into the cell to be used for metabolism.  Long-chain fatty acids can only pass through the cell wall if they have been processed by carnitine, Carnitine as a fat burner by this mechanism and is increased by the addition of lysine and methionine found in this preparation.

Glutamine(E)

Glutamine can reduce cravings for sugar and alcohol because it  can be converted to sugar  in the kidneys without affecting the glucagon and insulin counts. Therefore, it also contributes to the energy supply while being able to bypass insulin-induced fat storage. Studies have shown that it counteracts the storage of dietary fats and thus helps regulate weight. Supplementation with glutamine can result in loss of body fat.

Amino acids and weight loss are linked. Phenylalanine and tryptophan, also assist in weight loss. Tryptophan is thought to lessen a person’s cravings for carbohydrates, while phenylalanine increases the production of norepinephrine, which suppresses the appetite.

Leucine (E)

Is needed for hemoglobin formation; stabilizes and regulates blood sugar and energy levels; is aids in the healing and repair of muscle tissue, skin and bones and is necessary for the production of carnitine as previously described.

Lysine (E)

Ensures adequate calcium absorption and maintains a proper nitrogen balance in adults; helps form collagen (which makes up cartilage and connective tissue); aids in the production of antibodies and is essential to lower high lowers high serum triglycerides.

Threonine(E)

Helps maintain proper protein balance in the body; is important for the formation of collagen, elastin and tooth enamel; aids liver and Lipotropic function when combined with Aspartic Acid and Methionine; prevents the buildup of fat in the liver; assists metabolism and assimilation.

Valine (E)

Is needed for muscle metabolism, tissue repair, and for the maintenance of proper nitrogen balance in the body; used as an energy source by muscle tissue, especially in presence of reduced food intake; promotes energy  and calms emotions

Alanine (E)

Plays a major role in the transfer of nitrogen from peripheral tissue to the liver; aids in the metabolism of sugar  guards against the buildup of toxic substances that are released into muscle cells when muscle protein is broken down quickly to meet energy needs, such as what happens with aerobic exercise and dieting.

Arginine (NE)

Among its many function is to increase in muscle mass and a reduction of body fat. It is needed for the  release of growth which is crucial for “optimal” muscle growth.

Aspartic Acid (NE)

Increases stamina and is good for chronic fatigue and depression; rejuvenates cellular activity, cell formation and metabolism, which gives you a younger looking appearance; protects the liver by aiding the expulsion of ammonia; combines with other amino acids to form molecules that absorb toxins and remove them from the bloodstream; helps facilitate the movement of certain minerals across the intestinal lining.

Cysteine and Cystine (NE)

Functions as a powerful anti-oxidant in detoxifying harmful toxins; protects the body from radiation damage; protects the liver and brain from damage due to alcohol, drugs, and toxic compounds found in cigarette smoke; has been used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and hardening of the arteries; promotes the recovery from severe burns and surgery; promotes the burning of fat and the building of muscle; slows down the aging process. Skin and hair is made up of 10-14%  cysteine.

Glutamine Acid (NE)

The most abundant amino acid found in muscles; helps build and maintain muscle tissue; helps prevent muscle wasting that can accompany prolonged bed rest or  dieting. A “brain fuel” that increases brain function and mental activity; assists in maintaining the proper acid/alkaline balance in the body; promotes a healthy digestive tract; decreases sugar cravings and the desire for alcohol.

Glycine (NE)

Retards muscle degeneration; improves glycogen storage, thus freeing up glucose for energy needs; promotes a healthy prostate, central nervous system, and immune system; useful for repairing damaged tissue and promotes healing.

Ornithine (NE)

Helps to prompt the release of growth hormones, which promotes the metabolism of excess body fat (this effect is enhanced if combined with Arginine and Carnitine); is necessary for a healthy immune system; detoxifies ammonia and aids in liver regeneration; stimulates insulin secretion and helps insulin work as an anabolic (muscle building) hormone.

Proline (NE)

Improves skin texture by aiding the production of collagen and reducing the loss of collagen through the aging process; helps in the healing of cartilage and the strengthening of joints, tendons, and heart muscle; works with Vitamin C to promote healthy connective tissues.

Serine (NE)

Needed for the proper metabolism of fats and fatty acids, the growth of muscle, and the maintenance of a healthy immune system; is a component of the protective myelin sheaths that cover nerve fibers; is important in RNA & DNA function and cell formation; aids in the production of immunoglobulins and antibodies.

Taurine (NE)

Strengthens the heart muscle, boosts vision, and helps prevent macular degeneration; is the key component of bile, which is needed for the digestion of fats; useful for people with atherosclerosis, edema, heart disorders, hypertension, or hypoglycemia; is vital for the proper utilization of sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium; helps prevent the development of potentially dangerous cardiac arrhythmia’s.

Tyrosine (NE)

Is  important to overall metabolism; is a precursor of adrenaline, nor epinephrine, and dopamine, which regulate mood and stimulates metabolism and the nervous system; acts as a mood elevator, suppresses the appetite, and helps reduce body fat; aids in the production of melanin (the pigment responsible for hair and skin color) and in the functions of the adrenal, thyroid, and pituitary glands; has been used to help chronic fatigue, narcolepsy, anxiety, depression, low sex drive.
